"After listening to the "Gregory Page & The Heilotrope Ragtime Orchestra" 78 RPM recording, I was delighted and pleased with Mr. Alan Hall's artful and stylistically accurate original arrangement of these two pieces.

Bouncing politely and strutting with a carefree air, the notes appear to jump up and down in lock step on the page.

Page's original composition "Beautiful" is as authentic in style and form as Lew Pollack's 1925 fox trot.

The stiffness of ragtime and it's inherent purity appeals only to a specialized segment of the listening and record collecting public. Nevertheless, Gregory Page & The Heilotrope Ragtime Orchestra has recreated a vital piece of history and brings it to us with impeccable accuracy."
